Accused of Theft, Clara Thought She Had Lost Everything—Until a Child Decided to Speak

The boy immediately rushed toward her.

“I miss you, Clara.”

She crouched down and wrapped her arms around him.

Then Leo pulled out a folded piece of paper.

He had drawn the house with several people standing outside.

Clara recognized Daniel.

She recognized Leo.

And she recognized herself.

“I didn’t forget you,” the boy whispered.

Clara smiled through her emotions.

“I didn’t forget you either.”

But moments later, Leo’s expression suddenly became serious.

“Clara… can I tell you something?”

She nodded.

“The day everyone was looking for the jewelry… I saw something before that happened.”

Clara became silent.

She didn’t want to ask questions that might influence his memory or cause him to interpret something he hadn’t fully understood.

Instead, she answered carefully.

“If you think you saw something important, you should tell your father and the adults who are trying to understand what happened.”
