The Moment Our Divorce Was Finalized, I Shut Down My Ex-Mother-in-Law’s Luxury Credit Card

I stared at the paper.

Ronald had not come to my door because of his mother’s credit card.

Not only that.

He had come because when I cut off Priscilla, I cut off the illusion that the Cobb family still had access to me.

And Ronald needed that illusion to survive.

Victor looked at Sienna. “Did he mention investors?”

She nodded. “He said a man named Kessler was coming tomorrow. He said if he couldn’t prove he still had influence over Lexi, everything would collapse.”

Mara’s eyes lifted.

“Graham Kessler?”

Sienna nodded again.

Mara exhaled sharply.

“Private credit shark. If Ronald owes him money, this is bigger than embarrassment.”

My phone rang again.

Unknown number.

Victor gestured for me not to answer.

But I did.

I put it on speaker.

Ronald’s voice came through smooth and controlled.

“Lexi. Finally.”

“What do you want?”

“A conversation.”

“You tried to drill through my lock this morning.”
